Genre-defying vocalist Lady Midnight consistently captivates audiences with powerful sincerity and sensuality. Whether exploring dreamy synth-pop, experimental soundscapes, electronic house beats, jazz fusion or afro-caribbean rhythms, her unmistakable voice shines through and weaves complex evocative narratives together with ease. As Lady Midnight she has opened for international recording artists such as Common, Moby, Atmosphere, We Are King, Black Pumas, Antibalas, Bomba Estereo, Las Cafeteras, Juana Molina, and Arooj Aftab among others. As a multidisciplinary artist with a background in fine arts she has collaborated with internationally acclaimed visual artist Kara Walker in composing an original score for her silent film “The Prince McVeigh: and the Turner Blasphemies'', now part of the collection at The Tate Modern, Brooklyn Museum and Walker Art Center. Lady Midnight often blends multi-media presentations into her performances, using film, live puppetry, virtual reality, set-design, dance, and costuming that reject the simple categorization of vocalist.

As a teaching artist, Lady Midnight holds space for Black, Indigenous, people of color, refugee, and immigrant youth within her creative community residencies and projects like NDN Collective, indigenous students on the Red Lake reservation, refugee and immigrant girls and non-binary students participating in Girls Getting Ahead in Leadership in partnership with Women’s Initiative for Self Empowerment, and Kulture Klub Collaborative (a non-profit for youth experiencing homelessness). She has dedicated her life to empowering youth, using her art to inspire change and heal collective trauma.

In addition to her own solo releases, she has lent her voice to projects such VANDAAM, Parables of Neptune, and Malamanya. She is an experience not to be missed.
